Welcome to Queen Eleanor Technology College

Queen Eleanor Technology College is a specialist Technology School situated in the beautiful south Lincolnshire market town of Stamford.  We are an 11-16 non-selective school with 500 students currently on roll and are the town’s only state secondary school.

We are very proud of the school and visitors always remark on the high standards of behaviour, the smart uniform and the calm, orderly and friendly learning environment. Pastoral care is excellent and, as a small school, the staff and students have a clear sense of pride, identity and of belonging to a real community.

In our most recent Ofsted inspection in 2007, the college was rated good in every category and it achieved its highest ever GCSE grades the same year. In 2008, it was rated as one of the ‘most improved schools’ by the specialist schools’ trust.

The school is housed in modern, attractive buildings which house state of the art ICT, technology and teaching facilities.  The college offers a wide range of sports and cultural activities and students can also take part in breakfast and homework clubs.

This is an exciting time for the college as we look forward to welcoming our new Headteacher, Wendy Hamilton, in September. Ms Hamilton brings with her a wealth of experience and will be focusing on the college’s aim of becoming ‘the area’s leading secondary school, widely recognised for outstanding student achievement and for its positive role in the local community’.

The staff and students of Queen Eleanor Technology College are proud to be at the heart of the community of Stamford and surrounding areas.  We welcome children of all backgrounds, abilities and interests and dedicate ourselves to helping them all achieve their true potential.

We have an open door policy for parents to come and view the school in action and we very much look forward to welcoming your children to the school. In the meantime, please have a look around our website and do get in touch if you require any further information.
